📣 MEETING DAYS & TIMES: 📆 Tuesdays & Thursdays 03:00 PM – 03:50 PM EASTERN TIME via Zoom 🎂 AGES: 10–12 Is your child ready to strengthen their math skills and feel confident tackling more advanced math concepts? Fifth grade is a key year in math, when students deepen their understanding of fractions, work extensively with decimals, and solve more complex multi-step problems. Building strong skills now prepares students for middle school math, including ratios, proportions, and pre-algebra concepts. The Math Achievers Program (MAP) – 5th Grade Intensive helps students strengthen essential math skills while building the confidence to approach challenging problems with clear strategies. Instead of simply memorizing procedures, students learn how math works through visual models, strategy-based lessons, and interactive practice. In this class, your child will work on: 🎯 Fraction Operations: Students strengthen their understanding of fractions by adding, subtracting, multiplying, and dividing fractions using visual models and problem-solving strategies. 🎯 Decimal Skills: Students learn to compare, round, and perform operations with decimals, including addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division. 🎯 Advanced Problem Solving: Students practice breaking down multi-step word problems and applying fraction and decimal concepts to real-world situations. 🎯 Data & Mathematical Reasoning: Students interpret graphs and data while developing the ability to explain their mathematical thinking. Classes are interactive and taught in small groups, giving students the opportunity to ask questions, share strategies, and build confidence in a supportive environment. To get the most from this program, students should already be able to: ☆ Add and subtract multi-digit numbers ☆ Multiply and divide using standard algorithms ☆ Understand basic fraction concepts (equivalent fractions and simple comparisons) ☆ Solve multi-step word problems with guidance
